Notes by Anne:
Savannah Convention 2011
Tuesday, May 10th: The usual exhibits, silent
auction and hospitality room were set up as the members
arrived. Breakout activities included health screening, TRS
information, AMBA, and state benefits. The banquet in the
regency Ballroom was “A Taste of Savannah.” The menu was
supposed to reflect a traditional southern meal, and
I’ll leave it at that.
Wednesday, May 11th: The Local
Unit Presidents’ Awards Luncheon was served in the
Harborside Center. (This meal was
much better.) Our unit received
11 awards. I have posted the rewards below the pictures.
Wednesday Night, May 11th: The Annual GREA
convention banquet was held in the Regency Ballroom. The
GREA Education Contributor Award was given to Zell Miller.
Entertainment was by the First Tabernacle Missionary Baptist
Church.
